Zeeland West Varsity Dux took care of business against Zeeland East Varsity Chix on Tuesday for the first game of the double header, winning 13-6.

Zeeland West Varsity Dux got on the board in the top of the first inning after Megan Strabbing singled, scoring one run, Kaylee Redder induced Jenna Hendricks to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, Kylie Glass singled, scoring one run, an error scored two runs, and Sadie Kragt doubled, scoring one run.

Zeeland West Varsity Dux added one run in the second after Bri Kamer singled to center field.

Two more Zeeland West Varsity Dux runs crossed the plate in the fifth inning to extend the lead to 12-4. Maddi Veersma hit a solo home run to center field, and Hendricks singled, scoring one run.

Kragt earned the win for Zeeland West Varsity Dux. The starter surrendered 10 hits and six runs (three earned) over seven innings, striking out 10 and walking none. Redder took the loss for Zeeland East Varsity Chix. The hurler went seven innings, surrendering 13 runs (10 earned) on 14 hits, striking out one and walking four.

Zeeland West Varsity Dux tallied 14 hits in the game. Hendricks and Glass were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in three runs for Zeeland West Varsity Dux. Strabbing led Zeeland West Varsity Dux with three hits in four at bats. Veersma and Kamer each collected multiple hits for Zeeland West Varsity Dux. Veersma stole three bases.
