Zeeland West Varsity Dux had trouble keeping up with Beal City Varsity Aggies in an 11-5 loss on Monday for the second game of a double header.

Beal City Varsity Aggies got on the board in the top of the first inning after Lauren Gross singled, scoring one run, and Emma Block homered to center field, scoring two runs.

Dakota Dodak earned the win for Beal City Varsity Aggies. The pitcher surrendered three hits and one run over four and one-third innings, striking out five and walking four. Emily Kragt pitched four innings in relief for Zeeland West Varsity Dux. The pitcher surrendered one hit and zero runs while, striking out one and walking two. Sadie Kragt took the loss for Zeeland West Varsity Dux. The right-handed pitcher went three innings, giving up 11 runs (nine earned) on 13 hits, striking out one and walking one. Block led things off in the circle for Beal City Varsity Aggies. The righty gave up three hits and four runs (one earned) over two and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking three.

Jenna Hendricks and Madison Wyckoff each collected two hits for Zeeland West Varsity Dux. Riley Howe and Kragt each drove in two runs for Zeeland West Varsity Dux. Zeeland West Varsity Dux had a strong eye at the plate, tallying seven walks for the game. Maddi Veersma and Howe led the team with two walks each. Zeeland West Varsity Dux turned two double plays in the game.
